Love this pan
I have been looking for a double boiler. Of course I wanted one that was good quality, but not to pricey. I looked around where I live because I wanted to look at it, but we have really big ones. I was want to use it for candy and making frosting, so you see I just didn't need anything so big. This double boiler is top of the line in quality and the perfect size. I thought the price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but once I received it and used it. I decided it wasn't to high. It was perfect for my frosting and clean up was super easy. I highly recommend this pan. I will also be taking a look at some of Paula Dean's other cookware.

Disappointing

The instructions for care of this pan seem quite picky for a metal pan! The inner pan cannot be used on its own; it's unbalanced, and the outer pan is not much better. All in all, it's okay for use as a double boiler, but not much use for anything else - not great for anyone who doesn't have space for many single purpose pans ...and how many of us do?

Great choice
My wife had been trying to buy a double boiler locally and you cannot find one without buying a complete set. Found this one on Amazon and ordered it. Excellent quality and my bride once again is happy.
